Are there any restrictions after I have had my windshield replaced?

Your technician will notify you of the safe drive away time (SDAT) after your replacement. The only restrictions are no high pressure wash for the first 48 after the replacement and just be gentle on closing the doors for the 24 hours after your appointment.

Can I have mobile service if I don't have a garage?

The answer to this question depends on the weather. And in our great state of Minnesota, we know that can be a loaded question. We require heated shelter if the weather is below 40 degrees and/or if it's raining or snowing.

How long does a replacement take?

The length of time a replacement takes relies on many factors. However, on average, you can expect your replacement service to take 1-2 hours.

How big does my garage or shelter need to be?

In order for our techs to be most efficient and perform the work to the best of their ability, we ask that you have enough room for our technicians to move around the vehicle with all the doors open.

Calibration is the process of returning a vehicle's ADAS to OEM specifications Calibration is necessary after a new glass installation, particularly a windshield with a camera mounted to it, to ensure that the ADAS features continue to function properly despite having been moved during installation

Is calibration really necessary?

A vehicle's computer relies on the cameras/radars/lasers used by the ADAS being in the correct alignment to function properly, but does not automatically adjust them itself Calibration guides the vehicle's computer & ensures these systems are working properly

What is ADAS?

The Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) uses image processing cameras, radar, light detection and ranging and other sensors to monitor vehicle surroundings and detect potentially dangerous situations. Purpose: to increase safety through advanced situational awareness and reduce collision possibilities. Sensors used in ADAS include cameras, radars, lasers and ultrasound. They can detect light, heat, pressure and other variables used to monitor the state of vehicle. Usually they locate in the front and rear bumpers, side mirrors, vehicle cab and wind shield glasses.

How long does ADAS Calibration take?

In addition to the time it takes to perform the windshield replacement, the calibration can take up to an hour and a half, but usually takes 30-45 minutes.

How long does a repair take?

A chip repair usually takes between 15-30 minutes!
